Description

Would you like to have your students work on homework that aligns directly to the content you are teaching and spirals back previously taught concepts? I have created 8 choice board sheets (over 60 questions!) that cover all fourth grade Texas standards in reporting category 1.

These skills include: place value of whole numbers and decimals, rounding, ordering, comparing, relating decimals to fractions and composing and decomposing fractions along with fraction equivalence and representing fractions and decimals on a number line.

The first two choice boards cover third grade skills and then the remaining 6 boards focus on a mixture of the fourth grade TEKS and skills listed above. I use these as weekly homework for my fourth grade special education students but you can also use them for an independent check in, centers, intervention tool, etc.

Answer keys are included as well as the decimal grids and blank multiplication chart for the choice boxes that say *need sheet from teacher

Friendly reminder: Be sure to choose to print in landscape format!

*This is the first set that I created.

You can find the second set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 2

The third set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 3

The fourth set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 4

All questions are open-ended (no multiple choice). Student will have to show their work and/or justify their answers. There are many models where students will either analyze and write equations or fill in the models to match equations and word problems. Answer keys are provided for student self-check or teacher quick check.

There is a page that can be printed for students to show their work if needed since space on some sheets is limited.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.
