Description

This task card bundle includes 260 task cards, touching on all five of the CCSS Operations and Algebraic Thinking standards. Each set of cards includes a variety of question types, including problem solving, to help prepare students for the types of problems they will encounter on standardized tests.

Below is a list of the files included. Note: This bundle price reflects over a 50% savings compared to purchasing each of the 11 files separately.

Task Cards- Multiplication Properties; CCSS 4.OA.A.1

Task Cards- Breaking Apart to Multiply (Distributive Property); CCSS 4.OA.B.4

Task Cards- Geometric Tower Patterns; CCSS 4.OA.C.5

Task Cards- Number Patterns and Data Tables; CCSS 4.OA.C.5

Task Cards- Number Patterns; CCSS 4.OA.C.5

Task Cards- Generate and Analyze Patterns; CCSS 4.OA.C.5

Task Cards- Finding, Analyzing, and Extending Patterns; CCSS 4.OA.A.3

Task Cards- Using Multiplication Facts to Divide; CCSS 4.OA.A.2

Task Cards- Multiplication and Division Fact Families; CCSS 4.OA.A.1

Task Cards- Understanding Division; CCSS 4.OA.A.2

Task Cards- Understanding Multiplication; CCSS 4.OA.A.1, 4.OA.A.2

There are blank recording sheets provided in each file for your students to record their answers. There are also answer keys which can be used by teachers or students to check work. The answer keys are formatted exactly the same as the recording sheet to make grading quick and easy.

Ideas for use:

Task cards are great for use with guided math groups, at math centers, as at home activities, for early finishers, or for differentiating in 3rd and 5th grades. You might also find them to be useful as a supplement to those math lessons which have fewer practice problems than others. I love the idea of pulling a few cards here and there from previous used sets of cards to review and keep concepts fresh! Just assign a problem to a group or the whole class.

For more sets of 4th grade task cards which align to the CCSS, visit my TpT store often. I will be adding more as I continue to create them for my students. Follow me to stay updated on new products, and feel free contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.
Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem, distinguishing multiplicative comparison from additive comparison.
Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
