Whenever possible, I look for ways to incorporate aspects of the Montessori philosophy into my homemade materials. In this case, I looked for ways to teach students a bit about chickens and inspire them to then conduct independent research based on the facts they learned.
These materials were created to be a follow-up activity after the initial instruction is presented. It can be used as a Montessori shelf-work, as a small-group center work, a digital follow-up activity, or as a homework assignment.
This set contains:
-20 task cards
-A student recording sheet
-An answer key

If using this in classroom setting, I recommend printing the cards on cardstock, cutting them out, and laminating them.
During virtual learning, you can also assign these cards to students using Google Apps.
