It deals with multiplication of 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers as well as 2 digits by 2 digits (with and without regrouping). Long division lessons involve up to 4 digit dividends and 1 digit divisors. Lessons include:

  • 2 lessons teaching the partial products or "box method" of multiplying
  • 4 lessons teaching the standard algorithm for multiplication
  • 1 lesson teaching division using base ten blocks to build conceptual understanding
  • 2 lessons teaching the equal sharing method of long division (using "HTO" boxes)
  • 3 lessons teaching division using partial quotients (also called "Big 7" or "Lucky 7")
  • 4 lessons teaching the standard algorithm for long division
  • 1 lesson explaining what to do with remainders in division word problems (interpreting remainders)

Most lessons include practice problems. Students can solve independently. Then, click to reveal solutions and answers while they check their work.

Each lesson is fully editable so you can tweak them to fit your needs. Be sure to check the preview files for a closer look at the lessons included in this bundle (note, the Google Slides feature animations that will not work in the PDF preview file, but it still gives you a good idea of what the lesson includes!)

Each of these lessons is available individually but buying this bundle will save you 30%!

I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH! I have so many of her bundles, they are sooooooooo helpful and highly recommended. She previews the topic, she has the definitions of the words, and she created an interactive way to teach the lesson. It comes with worksheets that can go along with it, independent practice, and my students love it.

These digital slides for teaching 4th-grade multiplication and division were outstanding! The lessons were visually engaging, well-organized, and presented both operations in a way that made the connections between them clear and easy to understand. My students were especially drawn to the interactive elements and real-life examples, which helped them stay focused and actively participate. Whether we were tackling multi-digit problems or exploring strategies like area models and repeated subtraction, the slides kept the learning fun and effective. I highly recommend this resource to any teacher looking to make multiplication and division more engaging and accessible for their students!
