Description

You're going to LOVE these 4th grade narrative writing prompts, monster and snow globe writing crafts, and narrative writing PowerPoint!

This NO PREP bundle is exactly what you need for fun, engaging, and enjoyable story writing lessons.

What is included? (Please view previews)

  • An 21 slide PowerPoint.

It is a great revision of basic narrative writing concepts; easy, interactive, and engaging. I've found that it helps explicitly outline all the parts that kids need to remember (characters, setting, conflict etc).

Please note: This PowerPoint was originally designed for grades slightly lower than 4th. It is a very basic overview of components. However, students always need a reminder/review. View the preview to help make your decision.

  • 25 narrative writing prompts and 5 blank templates.

Fun and seasonal topics are included and it is common core aligned. Some are more scaffolded with boxes or steps, whereas others have more lines, for more advanced writers.

Narrative Writing Prompt/Worksheet FREEBIE

  • 5 writing crafts (Monster and Snow Globe crafts).

There are planning pages for each craft and the art/crafts are no prep. Students complete a few easy steps to make each craft (write, cut, color, cut, glue etc). Written and visual instructions are included. The writing pages have two types of lines (dotted or plain) to choose from. The prompts are:

  • If I turned into a monster...
  • My Pet Monster
  • The day my teacher turned into a monster!
  • If I lived in a snow globe...
  • The day I got trapped in a snow globe...
