Description

Looking for the perfect pumpkin themed math activity for your fourth grade Halloween party? "The Great Pumpkin Heist" challenges students to use their knowledge of place value and rounding (4.NBT.A.1, 4.NBT.A.2, 4.NBT.A.3) to solve the puzzles and find the town's pumpkins. This escape room is an excellent place value worksheet alternative that encourages active learning and collaboration.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "My students LOVED this mystery! It was a great review of skills we previously learned and they were so motivated to solve the case! Thanks so much!" -Angela K.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I asked my students what they thought about this resource and they could have been the spokes people for this activity. One student said “it was so fun but there wasn’t much math.” I pointed out all of the skills practiced and he said “oh I guess there was but I guess I was having so much fun I didn’t realize it.” Another student said “I didn’t like it, I loved it.” Very creative well designed activity. It was worth my money. " -Kati J.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "My class absolutely loved this! They had never done an escape room before and we used this during Maths week. They were so engaged and were almost jumping out of their seats with excitement. They were beyond thrilled when they got a clue right and even when they were stuck when they were questioned they were able to figure it out." -Katie G.

Super fun for stations
Rated 4 out of 5

I absolutely loved this station resource! Sometimes the best resources are the ones that keep things simple, and this one did exactly that while still being incredibly thorough. Everything was easy to prep, easy to implement, and clearly designed with classroom teachers in mind. My students stayed engaged and worked independently, which made our station time run smoothly. I appreciated how much meaningful practice was packed into the activities without feeling overwhelmed. This is the kind of resource I know I'll return to again and again. Thank you for creating something so practical and effective!

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
