Description

This download contains 5th grade module 4, 5, and 6 application problems from Engage NY Eureka Math program and contains 26 total pages including the front cover. All 61 application problems are included saving you 3,500 copies (based on 100 students) but still gives your students ample room to show their work and yours. I created these packets to save me copies after I used another teacher’s module 1 application packet and their packet was 16 pages which took up almost my entire copy allowance for my first month of school. I knew moving forward I needed to figure something else out because module 2 with the other packet consisted of 25 pages, module 3 consisted of 13 pages, module 4 consisted of 25 pages, and module 5 consisted of 15 pages…way too many pages to copy for me and my 100 students.

Therefore, I decided to create my own packets but this time instead of only 1 question per page I tried to put as many as I could per page but still have enough room for students to show their work.

I had students draw a line down the center and show their work on the left and then when we went over the problem together they would copy what I had on the board on the right. This way they could compare how they solved the problem to how it was solved on the board. My students could then find their own mistakes if they had any. This also allowed me to show student work on the projector because some students solved the question correctly but used a different strategy.

I made it possible for you all to purchase these application problem packets in various ways depending on your needs and abilities to make copies. Below is a break-down of how many pages there are for each module’s packet should you be interested in taking advantage of the other module’s application problem packets.

Module 1: 7 pages Compared to 16 pages Saving you 900 copies

Module 2: 10 pages Compared to 25 pages Saving you 1,500 copies

Module 3: 7 pages Compared to 13 pages Saving you 600 copies

Module 4: 11 pages Compared to 25 pages Saving you 1,400 copies

Module 5: 6 pages Compared to 15 pages Saving you 900 copies

Module 6: 9 pages Compared to 21 pages Saving you 1,200 copies
