Preparation

- Print the student pages, staple or place

them in a folder, and your students are set to go.

- OR for a digital option, assign the Google Slides provided via Google Classroom. You will need to make a copy for each student.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Multiple Uses

- Suitable for independent, pairs, or group work.

- Use as part of your math centers, add to your sub tubs, make it part of your early finisher tasks, give for homework, or make it part of your classroom practice/review sessions.

I recommend pacing this activity by giving students one clue at a time. Once the whole class has completed a clue, then move on to the next clue, either within the same lesson or the next math session. New math content presented? Make a lesson out of it by modeling the math before diving into the clue. I like to say, "we must learn something new before attempting the next clue."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How long will each mystery activity take?

Time to complete will vary anywhere between 30mins - 2 hours or more! It mainly depends on how familiar your students are with the math mystery format and how difficult they find math skills covered in the particular mystery. Please check the math skills outlined in the clues above to help determine suitability for your class.

Engaging and Fun Math Review Bundle!
Rated 5 out of 5
June 16, 2026
Met expectations
Great value
This Math Mystery Holiday Bundle was a fantastic way to keep my 5th-grade students engaged while reviewing important math skills throughout the year. The holiday themes made the activities exciting and motivating, while the mystery format encouraged students to think critically and stay focused on solving each challenge. I especially appreciated how the activities provided meaningful review without feeling like traditional test prep. My students were eager to participate, work through the clues, and solve the mysteries. The resources were well organized, easy to implement, and perfect for independent work, centers, early finishers, or seasonal review days. This bundle is a great combination of skill practice, problem-solving, and student engagement. It has become a favorite in my classroom and is a resource I will continue to use year after year! Highly recommended!

Seriously one of my favorite resources I've ever purchased! My students are always BEGGING me to do more! Not only does the resource come with a slew of interesting clues, but it also comes with introduction and conclusion videos that get the kids very interest in the mystery. I am definitely looking into purchasing the larger bundles of these escape rooms!
