This is a comprehensive and complete unit for teaching all of the 6th Grade Common Core Geometry Standards. We have also included one of our Project Based Learning Units called the Cereal Box Re-design in the bundle as well.

We have been teaching these standards for the past couple of years and have compiled the lessons that we have found to be meaningful and successful in the classroom. We have designed the unit for quick and easy implementation into the classroom.

This is a Project Based Learning Unit that focuses on students redesigning the traditional Cereal Box. Students will work through the Engineering Design Process as well as learn the background mathematical concepts to create a newer version of a Cereal Container that decreases the Surface Area of materials while simultaneously increasing the total Volume.
