This download contains 6th grade math Real-World Multiplying and Dividing Fraction PowerPoint Lesson using Recipes. These are self-made using other various resources, NO Eureka lessons were used to make this PowerPoint Lesson (Total 57 slides). I wanted students to get the opportunity to use the new skills in a real-world application. It is a great PowerPoint lesson. Also included with this lesson are a total of 8 real-world problem handout with answer key. The problems go along with the PowerPoint and give students extra practice. You could easily turn this into a two day lesson if you want to. I also suggest the homework assignment after this lesson be for students to find a favorite recipe and answer similar questions as shown in the PowerPoint. Past students had a lot of fun and even made their recipes and showed photos afterwards.

I created/put these PowerPoint lessons together to help me lead engaging lessons that also covered all the things required such as objective, I “can” statements, vocabulary, and lesson summary.

Each lesson I pulled out what I felt I needed or could use in the time I had. Remember that any Eureka lessons can be found on their website for FREE… and any other resources I used to make these PowerPoint lessons were found for free. This product is my own lesson plan on how I taught lessons using those resources.

These PowerPoint Lessons can easily be used for teaching virtually…all you need to do is click from slide to slide and all the answers are included making for easier teaching online as well as in the classroom.

I have 8 years teaching experience (1 year teaching 9th-10th grade health, 6 years teaching 5th grade math, and this is my 1st year teaching 6th grade math). I have been a level 5 teacher for the past 5 years. Below I have listed what you will be getting in this download.
