Description

This is a two page quiz on comparing and ordering rational numbers. The first 3 questions are on finding the opposite of a positive or negative integer and plotting them on a number line. The next 8 questions compare rational numbers. Following those are 2 questions on ordering multiple rational numbers and plotting them on number lines, and lastly students will need to answer 3 word problems using the information on a table.

If you are using the Go Math series, this is a review for Chapter 3, lessons 1-4.

This quiz is also part of my Rational Numbers Bundle, as well as my Year Long Math Bundle and my 6th Grade Math Quiz Bundle. To see my other 6th grade products, check out my store.

Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values (e.g., temperature above/below zero, elevation above/below sea level, credits/debits, positive/negative electric charge); use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real-world contexts, explaining the meaning of 0 in each situation.
Recognize opposite signs of numbers as indicating locations on opposite sides of 0 on the number line; recognize that the opposite of the opposite of a number is the number itself, e.g., -(-3) = 3, and that 0 is its own opposite.
Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
