Ways to use these resources:
- Start off your day with the spiral review, reviewing the 2-3 questions per day. Students can complete the questions as a warm-up OR complete for homework and discuss/check answers as the warm-up.
- Introduce/teach concepts and complete guided practice using the Math Wheels and/or the interactive notebook fold-it-ups. The wheels can also be used as review before an assessment or with small groups, for students who need additional instruction/support.
- Use the color by number activities, problem solving sets, and the Footloose task cards as extra practice, center activities, homework, or review before an assessment
- Include the ‘math dates’ as part of your every-day classroom calendar set up, by using the calendar cards on your calendar, or by using the math date expressions on the board every day.
- Incorporate the 6th Grade math test prep as part of your test prep as you approach testing time. Or, use the pages or task cards as part of your center work throughout the school year…..you could even use the task cards as exit or entrance tickets during the year.
