Problem solving can be much more fun and engaging for students when they work together! This resource includes 28 problem solving pages. Each page gives a situation and then has a set of 3-4 questions to be answered.

Can be used for:

* cooperative groups

* individual work

* centers

* assessments

I have found it helpful to laminate the problem solving pages for reuse.

Answer keys are included. The answer keys are in detail, showing the work for each problem, so students could self-correct if you choose. (There are 68 pages here, but 28 are the detailed answer keys - one for each problem solving page.)

Math topics addressed are:

* Decimal Operations - 6 sheets

* Comparing/Ordering Fractions - 6 sheets

* Fractions, Decimals, Percents - 4 sheets

* Fraction Operations - 4 sheets

* Measurement Conversions (Customary) - 3 sheets

***Some of these problem solving pages are also found in a few of my "Footloose with Problem Solving" resources.

Understand the concept of a unit rate 𝘒/𝘣 associated with a ratio 𝘒:𝘣 with 𝘣 β‰  0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. For example, β€œThis recipe has a ratio of 3 cups of flour to 4 cups of sugar, so there is 3/4 cup of flour for each cup of sugar.” β€œWe paid $75 for 15 hamburgers, which is a rate of $5 per hamburger.”
Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. For example, β€œThe ratio of wings to beaks in the bird house at the zoo was 2:1, because for every 2 wings there was 1 beak.” β€œFor every vote candidate A received, candidate C received nearly three votes.”
Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.
Apply and extend previous understandings of division to divide unit fractions by whole numbers and whole numbers by unit fractions.
Interpret the product (𝘒/𝘣) Γ— 𝘲 as a parts of a partition of 𝘲 into 𝘣 equal parts; equivalently, as the result of a sequence of operations 𝘒 Γ— 𝘲 Γ· 𝘣. For example, use a visual fraction model to show (2/3) Γ— 4 = 8/3, and create a story context for this equation. Do the same with (2/3) Γ— (4/5) = 8/15. (In general, (𝘒/𝘣) Γ— (𝘀/π˜₯) = 𝘒𝘀/𝘣π˜₯.)
