Are you using Big Ideas Math? Here are vocabulary cards for 7th Grade Chapter 5 (Common Core Edition and Modeling in Real Life). I used the terminology listed in the chapter and compared this list to the words contained in the Smarted Balanced item specs (SBAC). This will help prepare your students for the content and vocabulary on the summative test. Based on the released items these also work very well in preparations for the PARCC test as well.

I have saved you lots of time by creating all of the images related to ratios and proportions. There are 41 words in this product. These are formatted for quick printing and will fit in most pocket charts. You will have a word wall ready in no time! This is a Word document and you are free to edit and make necessary changes to teach your precious children.

I have also included a pdf in the download. The Word documents are editable, but the pdf is not!!! A pdf file will open nicely on a chrome book or other machine that does not have Microsoft Word.

Note: When I write these vocabulary pages, I do repeat some words from previous chapters as they are appropriate. This way my teachers do not have to remember which words to recycle and can store each chapter individually.

This is a companion to the quizzes and test products that I write for the chapters.

Please note I am using the same cards from my Engage NY Math products. I have taken the time to re-arrange them to fit this curriculum.

Also, please know that the font on some of the definitions is not very big. I tried to be brief, mathematically correct, and mathematically complete. I use these definitions more than the students, so that I can be consistent in how I phrase ideas.
