Worse than that, your students will feel defeated and disinvested in math class. Better to face the reality head-on by diagnosing your students at the beginning of the year! When you know the specific learning gaps, you are better equipped to address them!

This test is designed so that students can grade it themselves because let's be real- Back to School is way too busy for grading! An answer key and grading scale are both included so students can correct the test and then calculate their own grade as a percent. Also included is a scoring guide which chunks questions by objective and allows students to see which objectives they've mastered and which need more practice.

Hi June!

EEEEK! I'm so sorry about that. I've updated it so please download the new version. Typos are the worst- especially on an assessment! Could you email me at support@sallywitherspoon.com? I'd love to send you a free resource as an apolgy for the inconvenience.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback!

All the best, Sally

Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes; apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths by packing it with unit cubes of the appropriate unit fraction edge lengths, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths of the prism. Apply the formulas 𝘝 = 𝘭 𝘸 𝘩 and 𝘝 = 𝘣 𝘩 to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Draw polygons in the coordinate plane given coordinates for the vertices; use coordinates to find the length of a side joining points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
