Samantha, my students really enjoy it too. This was my first math Activity that I created in this way. After seeing how well my students responded to this activity, I made many others for 7th and 8th grade math. Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you for your feedback, Mindee. I am SO very excited to hear that the scatter plot interactive slides were among the best resources you purchased. I have other guided interactive slides on a variety of middle school math topics so feel free to check them out. I appreciate your support.

I used this with my 8th grade remote learning students. I used this as a follow up activity after they learned the material. I felt that it was a little too detailed on each slide. There were so many things to do on each one. I ended up removing half of them and changing what they needed to do on each slide. The more questions there are on each slide, the more they are likely to miss things. I felt that what needed to be done was good information, but I could tell that even after my editing, some of my students were still overwhelmed by it. This would work better with more advanced students.

I appreciate your feedback. I know that teaching remotely has been a real challenge this year. I hope that this resource might be more useful when your students are once again in person and you can walk them through the learning process without the complications of virtual learning. I am grateful you found a way to make the resource work for you by editing. I can see that some slides might be a bit overwhelming. I will consider making some improvements to those slides.

I actually used this resource as a quick review for my AP Statistics students when we covered the chapters on linear regression and scatterplots. They appreciated the simplicity of the questions and being able to review those easier topics they had not seen in a math class in a long time. I supplemented the slides with more difficult AP Statistics questions, like interpretation and inference.

Construct and interpret scatter plots for bivariate measurement data to investigate patterns of association between two quantities. Describe patterns such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative association, linear association, and nonlinear association.
Know that straight lines are widely used to model relationships between two quantitative variables. For scatter plots that suggest a linear association, informally fit a straight line, and informally assess the model fit by judging the closeness of the data points to the line.
Use the equation of a linear model to solve problems in the context of bivariate measurement data, interpreting the slope and intercept. For example, in a linear model for a biology experiment, interpret a slope of 1.5 cm/hr as meaning that an additional hour of sunlight each day is associated with an additional 1.5 cm in mature plant height.
