Description

This high school advanced art project is ideal for juniors, seniors, or college-level students. This can be taught to an advanced art level course or incorporated into an AP® Art and Design (Advanced Placement® Art) course.

This project focuses on using design in a work of art. This is a student-focused assignment, with choice for subject matter and medium, ideal for upper-level art students.

The PowerPoint included in this bundle helps provide guidance through a range of examples, including ones from the artist exemplars Leonardo da Vinci, Barbara Kruger, Jasper Johns, as well as a clip from the movie, Stranger Than Fiction, to help guide the work of art. The students are introduced to a range of styles and mediums of work that all focus on the subject of design in a work of art.

In addition, this lesson pack has been updated to align with the new AP® Art coursework, focusing on inquiry-based art-making, sustained investigation, planning, experimenting, and revision.
