Why the Levels Look Different
Traditional addition fluency programs often move through facts as +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, and so on. While familiar, this approach can overload students, slow fluency development, and keep students from practicing addition strategies.
This program organizes facts into intentional levels such as:
- Counting On
- Doubles, Near doubles
- Make-10 combinations
Grouping facts by relationships and patterns helps students:
- Recognize connections between facts
- Reduce cognitive load
- Build automaticity more efficiently
- Develop confidence through mastery of related facts
Students progress based on mastery, not memorization in numerical order.
