Description

Looking to add an engaging game to your math instruction? Math wheels (also known as math rings) are sure to create high student engagement. No cutting, copies, or laminating!

Project which game board you want to use. Students form two teams and line up. Students take turns picking one box to write an answer in and then letting another member of their team go next. Each team races to fill all of the boxes on their team’s side. The first team to correctly fill in all their boxes WINS!

These work with interactive boards with dual pen capability. They also work on whiteboards by using a dry erase marker.

This file includes both a PowerPoint and PDF of the game boards.

This set includes addition one game board for all the facts from +1 to +20! All in one! This gives you loads of different options for all your learners. It is Halloween themed to add to your October plans!

This packet features:

Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
