Students use a problem solving grid to help them break apart the problem into four parts: writing the question, finding clues from the problem, solving the problem, and successfully answering the problem.
Purpose: To approach word problems using a consistent method that increases the probability of continued accuracy when solving them.
Features Include:
1. Commonly used addition key words chart
2. Three problem solving grids - one with instructions, one with an example, and a blank student work grid.
3. Differentiated addition word problem worksheets for high (challenge problems involving money), mid (addition with regrouping), and low students (math facts to 20).
4. Low and Mid Leveled Worksheets come in two formats: open answer and multiple choice.
Uses: small group instruction, independent practice, workshop/centers, etc.
Great for state test preparation.
Also available for subtraction, multiplication, and division.
