Here’s a set of math enrichment activities designed to build your students' mental math skills in adding with regrouping through engaging review in a fun and challenging format! Includes riddles and clip cards for your math centers!

Here's what this math riddle enrichment set includes!

  • 24 riddle cards for adding two-digit numbers with regrouping, printing with four cards on each page
  • 16 clip cards for the same skill, with the same donut graphics {clip cards give options for answers, which provides students with more support - easy differentiation!}
  • A student recording page and answer key for each of the activities, for independent use in a math center or just to make your teacher life a bit easier!

Add and subtract two-digit numbers, with and without regrouping (several cards include examples that don't require regrouping - just to keep your students thinking!)

♦ Distinguish even and odd numbers

How do math riddle cards work?

On each card, your students will solve to find Team Donuts' Secret Numbers by using a variety of math clues to eliminate eight options, choosing from the nine possible answers on each card.

♦ Use in a math center for individual or partner work.

♦ Use for whole class review on your interactive board.

♦ Use as a skills review rotation, with students moving to stations around the
classroom individually or with a partner to solve the riddles.

♦ Use the riddles to model the critical thinking skills required to solve them, like identifying key details, making inferences, and drawing conclusions.
