This is a fun project I use to introduce my students to African culture. The kids love designing their masks and they can be so creative!

This resource includes:

• My African Masks PowerPoint Presentation
• My African Mask Worksheet to help students create their own African mask. The worksheet can be used as is, or it can be used as a base for students to build an actual mask.
• Pate Morte Recipe (a type of unleavened bread that is perfect for making bread sculptures.) (This project would also be fun using construction paper, clay, wood, etc.)
