Description
This editable lesson is part of an accelerated course designed to teach all of the eighth grade mathematical standards and all of the high school Algebra 1 standards in one school year. Students should have demonstrated mastery of all seventh grade standards prior to admittance, but enrollment in a seventh grade accelerated math program is absolutely not required for success. Hundreds of students (of all backgrounds) have completed these lessons and gone on to score highly on the Common Core and other standardized tests, many times despite not having done so previously. What they had demonstrated previously is the confidence, curiosity, attention and responsibility to complete challenging work.
It does not include answers to the tasks provided. Those are intended to be provided by students under the skilled guidance of a classroom teacher using a tablet computer, classroom projector, and stylus.

All the lessons in Unit 4 have an accompanying in-class worksheet, making graph paper unnecessary and allowing students to follow along.
Unit 4 - Real World Linear Functions
