Description

This Algebraic One Step Equations Math Puzzle Activity (Puppy Version) has 16 equations to solve and match up with correct solutions. Students will practice solving one step equations including integer operations using a method taught in class. This engaging assignment gets students hands-on in cutting and pasting their puzzle pieces back together. Some solutions that will not have a match, to make it a bit more challenging. The puzzle can be done as an individual assignment or even as pairs, with partners splitting up the work! It also allows for equity and access to solving equations for all learners, by allowing students who struggle to practice using substitution when choices are present! This is the perfect print and go assignment and allows for easy grading with included answer key! Not to mention, this puzzle assignment would look great on a bulletin board with the attached student work!

I left this for the students to do while I was out. It was a great way to review our topic yet keep them engaged in fun so the sub had no problems at all. The kids really enjoyed it!
