Description
Alphabet Collections are to help students learn beginning sounds.
How to complete a collection:
· You first need to get organized with containers, manipulatives, labels, folders, and drawers.
· There are two options for containers to store manipulatives (boxes or bags). Make sure to label each container as well. You will make a notebook with as many pages as you like stapled together (I start with 20 front and back). Then put the packet in the folder with each student’s name on the folder.
· The students will grab a box or bag, say the names of each item, and find the beginning sound of each object. The students will write the beginning sound in the small box and draw a picture of each object that begin with that sound.
