Description

This set of 24 task cards provides students with practice finding missing angle measures using the following theorems:

  • Triangle Sum Theorem (questions 1-12)
  • Exterior Angle Theorem (questions 13-24)

Questions are scaffolded so that they start with basic skills practice, then build in difficulty with the use of algebraic expressions for angle measures.

Works great as a quiz test review or just for extra practice after the skill is introduced.

You will receive:

  • 24 Task Cards (4 to a page)
  • Student Recording Sheet (mini white boards work as a great alternative!)
  • Answer Key
  • 32- unique MATHO game boards (laminate & reuse or print enough for each student and have them mark answers with a highlighter)

Task Cards: Use the cards for activities such as "scoot", a walkabout activity, or display them under the document camera and have students write their answers on mini whiteboards.

I love how easy to use this resource is. I love how it provides an answer key as well as a student recording sheet with pre-made bingo cards (that alwaya seems to be a tedious task for them). My students really enjoyed this bingo game!

Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
