Description

This set of task cards and bingo games provide 8th grade math and pre-algebra students with practice and review on a variety of skills. These are a great alternative to a worksheet and can be used to "gamify" your classroom!

These activities work great in class as an alternative to a worksheet. They are perfect for math centers, partner work, or quick formative assessments. Task cards also make it easy to differentiate instruction - students can work at their own pace, tackle varied levels of difficulty, or rotate through stations for review, enrichment, or reteaching. They’re especially effective for reinforcing concepts, promoting discussion, and giving teachers quick insight into student understanding.

The following sets are included.

Real Numbers:

Exponents & Scientific Notation:

Equations & Inequalities:

Linear Relationships:

Systems of Linear Equations:

Functions:

Pythagorean Theorem:

Angles, Triangles, + Polygons:

Transformations:

Cylinders, Cones, + Spheres:

My students are always so excited when they find out they're playing matho. They ask weekly when they can play. Such a fun reinforcement resource.

I ended up using this resource a lot, probably up there with my top 5 TPT purchases. My pre-algebra class was mostly boys and somehow we developed our Math Bingo review days into a role-play where all the students took on personas and new names like Gladys and Ethel and I'd have to say things like "Okay Ethel, you're getting a little rowdy over there, remember what happened last week when they took your marker away!" The students had a blast and every time we'd play I'd go around and try to remember who was who and they'd remind me "No, I'M Phyllis! HE's Gertrude!" It was a hoot. Kept them engaged, kept them doing math, all good!

So many great options in this bundle. This is one of my go-to resources for a quality review that will motivate my students. I use the task cards for my students to work at their own pace. They will work the whole period to try to win "BINGO"! Love the formatting and presentation also.

A good assortment of topics. My students love playing bingo with the cards. Once they get bingo, students are done. Most kids usually end of doing at least 8 problems before they get bingo. I always give a treat for bingo, so I have kids who finish it after class.
