Description

Engage students in Animal Farm, by George Orwell, with background information and allegory posters! In this pre-reading activity, students read a background summary of the Russian Revolution, define key terms, figures and definitions, analyze existing allegories, and create an allegory poster.

  • An extension assignment in which students apply their understanding by writing their own mini-allegory is also included.
  • All materials are available in PDF to print and student materials are writeable in Google Slides.
