In this atomic model lab, students are given a product which they would purchase from a store. Students then research to see what compounds and molecules are in that product. Students then choose one element from those compounds. The model students make is three dimensional and hangs from the ceiling. In my class we use clear fishing line and paper clips to hang them up.
