It is intended for students ages 12-15 taking introductory level courses, or studying atomic structure for the first time. More About This Resource
The 28 task cards are provided in two versions: color and black/white, for a total of 56 task cards. The resource also includes a student answer sheet and a teacher answer key as well as suggestions for using the task cards individually, in pairs, and in small groups.
Task cards are a flexible teaching tool that is ideal for middle school and junior high students who need to have lots of opportunity for movement and for working with peers in a variety of group sizes. Task cards can be used by individual students, by pairs, or by small groups. They can be placed at stations or at desks to which students rotate. Or, they can be passed from small group to small group. They’re great for use with substitutes because they are completely independent.
I highly recommend that you print the cards on heavy-duty card stock paper and laminate them. Students usually respect and take care of laminated materials more so than unlaminated materials, and lamination also makes the cards last for years and years.
Please see the preview for pictures of sample task cards from the set. (Click on the green “Preview” button.)

Reviews

I used this as a summary lesson at the end of the topic for my year 10 students. We are back in lockdown here in NZ, it happened very quickly and without warning, so I had very little prepared - this resource worked great with google classroom and helped the students to review work that we had done previously in class. Thanks so much, this was a life saver!
Thank You! I can't wait to use this!
Great review
Task cards are very useful for end of unit review. My students discuss and answers the questions with their classmates. They are also useful formative assessment, allowing for targeted intervention.
I LOVE using task cards for formative assessment! Thank you for returning to leave this suggestion for other teachers who might be considering how they could best use the cards in their own classes.
These task cards are great for review.
I used Google Forms and made these into digital exit tickets for my 8th graders. Just what I was looking for!
Well done.
Great resource!
