  • Day 1-2: Physical Geography of Australia
  • Day 3-4: Cultural Geography of Australia
  • Day 5-6: History of Australia
  • Day 7-8: Modern Australia
  • Day 9: Projects/Review
  • Day 10: Assessment

Objective: Understand the unique geographical features, environmental significance, scientific research importance, and international governance of Antarctica.

Focus Areas:

  • Geographical Uniqueness: Explore Antarctica's status as the southernmost continent, covered by the world's largest ice sheets. Discuss its extreme climate, geographical isolation, and the absence of a permanent human population.
  • Environmental Significance: Highlight the role of Antarctica in global climate regulation, its biodiversity, particularly adapted to extreme conditions, and the impacts of climate change observed on its ice masses and ecosystems.

Antarctica Outline

  • Day 1-2: Physical and Cultural Geography of Antarctica
  • Day 3-4: History of Antarctica
  • Day 5: Assessment
