These can be used by any child, whether they are part of a Montessori program or not.

This deck includes 16 cards using short vowel 'o' CVC words to:

• match with corresponding pictures
• match rhyming words
• type words to complete a series of sentences
• give the child practice with penmanship
• inspire drawings from the child's writing

My Montessori decks are intentionally realistic looking in order to best replicate the Montessori learning experience.

This deck will help your child to:

• Develop order, concentration, coordination, independence
• Develop self-esteem and confidence with their reading and language skills development
• Analyze sounds phonetically in words
• Prepare the child for reading by starting with the decoding process
• Build the child's vocabulary

The Montessori Pink Reading Series is designed to give children the crucial foundational skills to write (encode), read (decode), and spell. It has been used successfully in and out of Montessori classrooms all around the world. It is also a great addition to any Kindergarten (Montessori or otherwise!) and Home School environment.

This deck meets the following Common Core Standards:

RF.K.3c: Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).

RF.K.3a: Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary sound or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant.

RF.K.2d: Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words. (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/, or /x/.)

RF.K.1b: Recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences of letters.

RF.K.1a: Follow words from left to right, top to bottom, and page by page.
