Description

Mathematics is a language of its own. To be successful, a student must understand basic terms and symbols.

This set of activities will take each student through basic concepts necessary to be successful in mathematics using a variety of techniques to learn the basics. The teacher will be given a list of terms or symbols for each activity. Depending upon the grade level of your class or abilities of your students, the teacher may provide the class with the list provided in the activity.

I am sure that once your students master each of the activities, they will have a strong foundation to master any of the concepts that will await them in their future.

A student worksheet is provided as well as an answer guide will be provided for each activity.

Common core standards met in this booklet are:

CCSS.Math.Content.3.G.A.1, CCSS.Math.Content.3.G.A.2 , CCSS.Math.Content.3.NF.A.1.
