Description

This resource is designed to be used with Botley the Coding Robot. Botley will help reinforce Beginning Sight Words and coding at the same time! This packet contains 50 beginning sight/high frequency word squares as well as 50 sight word task cards. Simply print and cut the large word squares. Attach them to chart paper, bulletin board paper or poster board to create a work mat for Botley. Use 9-12 squares for beginning coders or more for advanced coders. This packet enables you to make multiple mats for different learning levels, configured any way you want!

Botley can be used during literacy centers or during small group instruction. This packet will allow you to differentiate for different levels of learners in your class. Mats with only a few sight words can be created for your developing learners, while larger mats with more words will help challenge your higher learners. A programming sheet is also included to help your students show their thinking. Place the programming sheets inside sheet protectors to make an easy dry erase resource. Happy coding!

This pack includes the following sight/high frequency words: the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, are, as, with, his, they, I, at, be, this, have, from, no, yes, can, me, so, up, am, we, like, see, go, do, an, my, be, said, by, or, look, come, here, has, had, she, one.
