Description

This 1-page document can be used by students in elementary grades to record their behavior points earned, lost, or spent in the classroom store.

Fold the document into eights. Then fold in half (hamburger fold). Cut from the hamburger fold line to the next fold line. Unfold. Refold in half (hot dog fold). Finally, push in from the ends to accordion the document into a 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" booklet.

Students should write their name and their student number, if you have assigned one, on the front cover of the booklet. The first working page has an opening account balance of 25. Each day, students should enter the date, points added or deducted, and the new balance. Each subsequent page has a line to bring the balance forward.

(My free Behavior Chart Number Line Poster can be used to track points as students gain or lose them each day. This poster gives students an early understanding of the number line and negative numbers.)

Beyond recording behavior points, this booklet lets students practice addition and subtraction, allowing them to build fluency.

This was inspired by the actual bank books we had in school back in the 60s. I hope your students enjoy using them!
