Behavior Check In Check Out System

Description

This is great to use in a classroom with a student that may need to set a daily goal. This theme was very effective with the boys in my classroom. I started with 4 road cones from a toy race car set, and when the student was not meeting thier goal, I would remove 1 cone. We would check in with each other at lunch and at the end of the day. If they had road cones left they would get a green sticker on their chart. If they had no road cones left they got a red sticker. At the end of the week if they had all green stickers they earned a reward of some kind. If they had any red stickers, we talked about what we could change for the following week.

I am using this resource as a daily check in with a student who is telling mom that he is having a difficult day. I check in with him before lunch and before he goes home. I then send a picture to mom at the end of the day so that she is able to see that he is telling me his days are good. It has been a good resource for me to keep track of what is happening with him and allow him the opportunity to share his day with me. I will continue to use it.
