Description
As a middle school teacher I developed this behavior paragraph for students who needed to reflect on their behavior but I didn't want to spend 5-10 minutes of class time on it. The paragraph requires a student to reflect on their behavior and then copy a paragraph that describes correct behavior. It allows the student to calm down and the teacher has breathing room for severl minutes.
It can then be used for a quick 1-2 minute discussion with the teacher. It can also be used for a parent meeting as evidence of chronic behavior (I've found it very powerful in parent meetings).
It can be completed in class, in a time out room, when there is a substitute, or on a class suspension.
