Description

There are 18 game boards that increase in level of complexity. These games over Benchmark Advance sight words for units 1 thru 10 (beginning to end of the school year).

Game Directions:

Two to three plays per game. Roll the dice and move along the board the number of times matching the number rolled. Students must read the word (decodable or sight word) they land on. If they are unable to read the word, they can get help from their partner. The first person to get to the finish line wins the game. All game boards have sight words used from Benchmark Advance Kindergarten and follow the Benchmark Advance scope and sequence per unit. There is also a progression of decodable words and words with blends and digraphs on these game boards.

Materials Needed:

•Two laminated copies of each game board (may also slide them in document protectors)

•One dice per board

Two to three counting frogs to use as game pieces to move along the board

Tips:

Print game boards on different color paper or card stock to make them look even more attractive to students.

These games are just what I was looking for. Easy to use. Students do learn the words playing these games.
