Description

Birds Math task cards can be used for enrichment, homework, interactive math journals,morning work, Math Night, Response to Intervention, tutoring, work stations and many more classroom needs! Students will gain new knowledge on birds found in various ecosystems as they review addition, subtraction, multiplication, expanded notation, place value, rounding and written mathematical forms.

Word problems were formatted using the released State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) for fourth grade.

* mathematically advanced 2nd & 3rd graders
* average 4th graders
* 5th graders needing extra practice in the above skills

Example Question.... More Challenging
~ Which equation can be used to find the difference between 
two Red Tailed Hawks with wing spans of 42.8 inches 
and 51 inches?

A. 51 - 42.8 = 8.20 B. 51 - 42.8 = 8.92
C. 51 + 42.8 = 93.80 D. 51 + 42.8 = 93.08
