Celebrate Black History Month with this bundle. This supplemental resource includes eight biographical readings, discussion questions with a quote for thought for each reading, and a page for each reading to use in an Interactive Notebook. There is not an answer key included for this resource because many of the discussion questions require the students' thoughts, feelings, beliefs, or reactions to certain questions.
The eight biographical readings include the following people:

6. Jesse Owens
7. Rosa Parks
Also included in this bundle:
Black History Interactive Bulletin Board
• 20 African-American Posters (names listed below)
• Pockets and character traits for each poster
Helpful Tips:
• Print on card stock for durability.
• Laminate so you can use it year after year (without the prep work each year).
• If your bulletin board is not large enough to incorporate all of the people included, choose the ones you feel you would like to include. The sample in my pictures does not include all of the people listed, but you can see it offers plenty of interaction.
• To make the pockets/envelopes for holding the character traits, cut along the solid black lines. Then fold along the dotted line (fold to the back). Staple the pocket to the bulletin board.
• I “backed” my people printouts on colored card stock to make them “pop” from the board.
