What is this product?
Students research an organ (either chosen or assigned) and create a poster/ flyer using Canva, Google Slides, or any other software. This is a great lead-in to body systems, especially if students group their posters together with students who have organs from the same organ system!
What's included?
Product includes student directions, suggestions for formatting the poster, a basic rubric, and a small example poster about the Uterus, which was created using Canva.
How could I use this product?
I use this as a follow-up to a research paper students write about their organ, so already have the information gathered and are simply converting it to a shareable format. If students need to research for the first time, you might wish to allow them an extra class period for this.
Once students have finished, you could have them orally present their posters or hang them around the classroom for a gallery walk. A digital version of the gallery walk recording sheet is included for distance/ flipped learning - have students post their finished posters to Google Classroom or any learning management site you use, and then students can view each others' posters and take notes on the different body organs!
