Description

You will download a book companion craft for any short story. This book report project works well for your 2nd grade, 3rd grade, ESL, and special education students.

They may draw pictures or write descriptions.

There are four main templates:

  1. summarizing (wh questions: who? what? why? when? where? how?)
  2. elements of short story
  3. author's purpose
  4. open ended

The last page has 32 book report writing prompts.

✎ The card is the size of an 8.5x11" piece of paper in landscape mode. You may wish to enlarge it (optional) at a print shop or younger students for for more writing space.

My students loved working on this book report. I always try to give my students different ways they can transmit their knowledge of a book and this book report is easy for them to complete, it works good for ELL students and students that need accommodations.
