Description
Designed for use with chapter books, this project is easily adaptable for any book. Students fill in and cut out templates for Beginning, Middle, Ending; and optional panels for Character/Setting, Problem, and Solution. They also add a picture that is visible when the "doors" are open.
I have also used this project with Charlotte's Web by decorating the exterior as a barn, and Sarah, Plain and Tall decorating it as a house. It would go great with Indian in the Cupboard, as a cupboard of course; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; just use your imagination.
Makes a great end-of-year project when excitement is running high, and gives students something to take home.
Common Core Standards met: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.7, .10.

Easy to interpret for both the students and me! Students created quality products.
Great resource- my students love it! I use it daily with my third grade class.
Students loved this project and it was a great way to get students to talk and write about their books.
My students have used the tissue box book report numerous times and each time they do one they get better with each. It is fun to use as a dice to recount the events in their book report while playing a game.
The resource is an excellent way to introduce students to various authors, when paired with a presentation component.
I have not done this book report project, but it looks so fun and something the students can get into doing. I plan on using it next school year!
My student loved using this product and it helped them stay engaged in the lesson.
