MY OWN WORD PROBLEMS

This is a fun math and writing activity for your students.

(a mix of math, creative writing and illustrating)

If your students are making a book then use all the same task cards. This way they will all be exactly the same size for their book. (or if choosing different ones, students can cut the task cards to fit)

I have 3 options for you in this lesson plan.

1. Students can do just the task card with a math fact and a word problem.

(as many as you would like them to do)

2. Students can make their own word problem booklet.

1 cover page, 3 task cards for math facts, 3 task cards for the word problems, and 3 task cards for their pictures.

3. Students can make a word problem book for their friend.

1 cover page, 3 task cards with math facts, 3 task cards for the word problems, 3 task cards with pictures, and one answer key.

Included in this product are 4 types of task cards, 4 covers, 24 math fact strips, and an answer key task card.

Task cards and math strips are in black ink for easy copies.

These can be displayed in your room on a bulletin board.
