Description

THIS or THAT 3rd Grade Math Game gets the students engaged by providing a context for the math problems. The students must pick which answer (THIS or THAT) for the context and provide a rationale. This is a quick review game - only one slide is used at a time. Each slide has three comparisons - just slide the rectangle down to reveal the next set. This game only takes a few minutes, but allows for a fun review involving math and reasoning skills. Your students may surprise you and pick a value for an interesting reason! (Example: "I chose 1 cup of soda instead of 1 pint, because 1 pint would be too much sugar!" This lets you know that the student recognizes which unit of measurement is larger and is able to provide a rationale for their choice."

This is perfect for in-person AND remote/virtual learning. It can be used live with students verbally explaining their choice or even posted for students to comment on.

This can be part of your spiral review to keep those standards already taught fresh for your students!

This product is editable, so you can customize it to your class's preferences and add to it as you use it.
