Description
This CVC Silly Sentences is a fun and interactive way to practice reading and writing CVC word families! Practicing consonant-vowel-consonant words is an important pre-reading skill. With this hands-on activity, children can have fun while building fluency and confidence with word families!
The sentences used contain simple sight words and CVC word family words for easy decoding to strengthen reading skills in beginning and emergent readers.
Children look at the picture and read the two sentences. One sentence makes sense and the other does not (a silly sentence). Children choose the sentence that makes sense and color the star. What a fun way to build reading fluency!
