Description

Note: These are relatively easy. For one, students have to do them standing (if you post them around the room as intended) on a clipboard. I plan to add another version to this that requires more work (when I can! This is 02/27/2019). Anyone who has purchased this will be able to download it then. Thanks!

Are you tired of students just sitting around doing book work or worksheets? Then my Answer Hunt activities are for you. Students must work with partners to "hunt" for answers to various problems around the room.

This activity has basic integrals. Using no more than the integral power rule and trig integrals, students will work to find the integrals of various functions.

Students start with a poster and complete the integral on the bottom on the provided sheet; they then search for the poster that matches that answer. They then do the integral there. You get the idea now, right? It gets students out of their seats and forces them to work with a partner and find the simplified answers.

I also have a other Answer Hunts in my store:

This activity would be fine if you are looking for something super easy for kids to do. The description led me to believe that this activity would give all different kinds of problems that use the power rule and trig integrals. However, they were were all way too easy. There were no problems where they had to do any algebraic manipulation first. The preview did not show enough of what types of problems would be included.

EDIT: oh wow, these are even easier than I remember. I thought they had rational exponents and they don't even have that. See my reply below. I also reached out to TPT to contact you too. Thanks Hiya! These were intended to be quite easy as long as students could do the calculus (basic integrals) and, oddly, rational exponents (my students at the time had a poor mathematics background and struggled across the board even in calculus--thankfully things are better now). First, I'll update the description on this asap to reflect that. And I'll put a preview up that shows the most difficult problem(s) vs the easiest. Lastly, when I can, I'll add a more difficult version (like I made easier versions of some other of my things, like the Chem Element Tarsia Puzzle) and add them. You'll be able to download that updated set, as will anyone who has already bought this. Thanks for your feedback (really). I understand, and agree.
