Description
Looking for the perfect way to spiral review in your Math class? This resource is for you! Calendar Math uses the numbers in the date and day of school to introduce and reinforce 6th grade Common Core Math skills. This document was inspired by Stephanie Moorman's Calendar Math program for 4th and 5th graders. (http://teachinginroom6.blogspot.com/)
You may use this activity however you see best fit in your classroom. I use it as a warm-up that flows into station work. I would recommend modeling each section prior to having students complete this on their own.
There are 40 total slides - 20 pages of handouts and 20 pages of possible answer keys (using a specific day in school and date). All handout slides are titled by the Common Core strand that is covered. All major standards are included.
***This is the original PowerPoint document that can be edited to fit your teaching style.***
Please let me know if you have any questions and/or suggestions!
