Description

Use these colorful candy corn worksheets to emphasize number order and basic number sense with your elementary children! Included is a page of decade numbers (10-80), mixed numbers (28, 46, 57, 61, 34, 23, 15, 72), and a page of blank candy corn to make your own numbers on.

There is also a list of 10 activities that you can use with these worksheets (using the cut-out candy corn as manipulatives) but there are many other options as well!

Students can cut them out and put them in order by tens (smaller to larger or larger to smaller). They can use them to create a number line. They can cut them out and hold up the number to correspond with base ten blocks (or bean sticks) shown by the teacher - an instant and creative assessment of place value understanding. Students can also build the numbers themselves using base ten blocks, bean sticks, or snap cubes - or they may use real candy corn to count out the numbers shown. The teacher could write the number word on the board and have students point to or hold up the corresponding candy corn number . . .

Other activity ideas also included!

I hope you enjoy using this as much as I have!

Thank you for your purchase!
