This is a set of 20 sheets I use during Kindergarten writing to encourage students to sound out short-vowel words independently and write them in sentences. All artworks included are my original drawings. How I use them is I give the students a blank copy of this paper (I included a blank copy in the packet as well) and display the illustration on my screen. I ask the students to talk to each other about a sentence (or more) they might say to describe the picture. Then, the students have to
32 ready-to-use sheets of Read, Build, Write, Draw (Cut and Paste) sight word activities. These use the 40 sight words from the Scott Foresman Reading Street reading series for Kindergarten. They would be perfect as morning work, Daily 5 word work center, independent folder work, homework, or small group activities. Would be a good product for struggling 1st graders that need review also.
This 100-page file includes worksheets that you can print to use in your classroom to help with the instruction of Fry's first 100 sight words. They are ready to print (pages 2-100) and require no prep. Each sheet covers the following skills: reading, cutting, gluing, handwriting, spelling, and illustrating. These would be great as morning work, independent practice, centers, word work, minilessons, work on writing, homework, small group instruction, etc. All 100 of the first 100 Fry words a
This is an entire year's worth of math flashbacks/bell ringers/exit slips on Power Point. 172 slides in all. I use one a day at the beginning of math class. Can do as group discussion or can have students respond on an answer sheet.
This is a Power Point file that I use in Kindergarten as bell ringers every morning at the beginning of math lessons about shapes. 30 slides in all. Covers circle, triangle, square, rectangle, oval, diamond/rhombus, star, heart, trapezoid, hexagon.
This is a Power Point presentation with 102 slides that can be used as flashbacks, bell ringers, exit slips, or other types of quick, formative assessment for Kindergarten reading. I started using these in October, so they will best be used starting around fall break. See my products to download a flashback response grid I also use (free!). Enjoy!
I use this file with my math and reading flashbacks for Kindergarten (see my other products to download). I flash the question on screen, tell the students we are on the "puppy dog question," for example, and they respond on this paper. I collect at the end of the week and grade. Sometimes I put these in folders and have students keep at desks for easy access.
